In the fourth episode of Magic Markets, we welcome our first guest, Nerina Visser, CFA.
Nerina is a highly respected expert in South African financial markets, with a particular focus on ETFs. She is also the President of the CFA Society of South Africa. (I have included all the Twitter handles in the links here, give them all a follow)!

In an in depth debate, the three protagonists debate the rules around retirement savings and the recent noise with Regulation 28. Nerina believes that Regulation 28 has a place but needs a rethink, The Finance Ghost is mostly irritated about South African CEOs tapping into a trapped pool of capital and then squandering the money in offshore investments anyway while Moe just wants markets to be free and efficient.

It’s a slightly more technical podcast than normal on Magic Markets, but an important one if you care about how your retirement savings are invested.

This episode is sponsored by Gray Capital, an independent wealth management company. Gray Capital combines the art of financial planning with the science of investing, helping you achieve your financial goals. Gray Capital is an authorised financial services provider.
