It’s Episode 21 of Magic Markets – Crypto Arbitrage

This week the @FinanceGhost and I have the pleasure of hosting the team from Future Forex as we unpack the risks and opportunities of crypto arbitrage.

We delve into topics like:

  • What is Crypto Arbitrage and why does it exist?
  • Is it really arbitrage (risk free) or is there still risk in this trade?
  • Can Crypto Arbitrage be a source of uncorrelated return?
  • How do we quantify the risks and how investors can further explore this space?

This remains an interesting area for further due diligence and research as this digital asset space continues to gain momentum and evolve.

I am curious why – if the arbitrage exists – they do not keep the knowledge to themselves and make the money for themselves?

Hi Mark. The Arb strat in SA is restricted to each individual’s foreign exchange allowance. As such, one would only be able to do it to their own max allowance (round tripping) each year. It’s not scalable.
Therefore, operators like these will ‘scale it’ by sharing the knowledge and taking a portion of your profits in exchange…Make sense?
